Thank you for joining us for the 4th annual Mancos Renaissance Faire.
On Festival days in medieval times, vendors brought their wares, along with their families, in wooden carts to the base of the city’s walls. They set up a temporary shelter where their families slept, ate and played. Guildsmen worked at their crafts whenever business was slack, and everyone sold hard, shouting their wares at passersby. Festival days were a joyous gathering of people, a bustling social event, of color, music, laughter, and endless commotion. This is what we are trying to create at Ye Old Mancos Village.
The location for the Mancos Renaissance Faire is Cottonwood Park in Mancos, Colorado. Take the business route into Mancos (Grand Ave) and turn south on Spruce Street. The Park is on the west side of the road before you cross the Mancos River. A map is enclosed for your convenience. Remember all vendor/artisan booths must be decorated in a medieval style and all vendors should be dressed in medieval garb. See the enclosed document for simple medieval fashions. There will be a prize for the best-decorated booth including free booth space at next year’s faire. Click here for booth ideas.
1. Parking for merchants is outside the circular part entrance area, along the road and possible on private land. Further information will be forth coming.
